G & R Insulating and Scaffolding was established in April 2000, and we understand the importance of providing quality service and products by ensuring that our staff is well trained and capable of managing jobs in a safe and efficient manner. Quality Control is of the utmost importance to G & R Insulating and Scaffolding. We pride ourselves on completing projects safely, on time, and within budget.
As a family run business, the owners of G & R Insulating and Scaffolding have one primary goal: to provide quality pipe insulating, scaffolding, oilfield buildings, utilidors and other important products and services to the oil & gas industry in Alberta and BC.
With over two decades of experience under our belts, we understand from both an industry standpoint as well as a family perspective the importance of providing quality products to an essential service industry that affects all of Canada.

History Of G & R Insulating and Scaffolding – Serving Alberta, BC and Western Canada
2000

G&R Insulating Ltd. was founded on April 1st, 2000 by Rick and Ginette Bugnet
G&R Insulating began as an owner operator company with Rick in the field with an apprentice and Ginette in the office.
In September of 2000, G&R Insulating rented cold storage in Sexsmith.
2002
Enter the Title.
Rented a second smaller shop for additional storage.
2003
Enter the Title.
G&R Insulating expanded and added another truck and crew to our team.
2004
Enter the Title.
G&R Insulating expanding and added another truck and crew to our team, making it 3 crews ready to serve our clients.
2005
Enter the Title.
G&R Insulating added a 3rd crew on to take Rick’s place in the field so that he could better serve and focus his energy on the business from the office.
2006
Enter the Title.
Rented a third building for office space and shop space.
Added a Circle Shear to their equipment list within the shop. This gave G&R Insulating the ability to cut our bevels in house, which in turn saved time in the field. Having the bevels pre-manufactured saved our customers money.
2008

In October of 2008, G&R Insulating expanded a built a 2400 square foot shop.
2009
Enter the Title.
G&R Insulating purchased a “Cut to length Strap Dispenser”. With this piece of equipment, we were able to pre-manufacture our straps in house, which in turn saved time in the field and saved our customers money.
2010

From 2000 – 2010 G&R Insulating was proud to have worked for 328 different companies and 352 consultants/operators.
2012
Enter the Title.
G&R Insulating expanding and added another truck and crew to our team. We now had 4 crews better serve our growing customer base.
2013
Enter the Title.
In July of 2013, Ty Wiggins joined our team in the office as “Operations Manager”. This gave Rick more time to focus on growing the business and expanding our clientele.
2014
Enter the Title.
G&R Insulating expanded and added 2 additional trucks and crews to our team, making that 7 units to better serve our growing customer base.
2015
Enter the Title.
By 2015, we were proud to employ 25 employees with the office, field and shop.
2016
Enter the Title.
In spite of the downturn, G & R Insulating has started off the year with optimism. We are taking this opportunity to streamline operations and procedures to better serve our customers, and to improve our quality and efficiency.
2020
Enter the Title.
January 6, 2020 – Commenced our 1st large commercial insulating project in Grande Prairie, AB
Enter the Title.
April 1st – Opened commercial insulating division in Edmonton, AB.
Dwight Everitt joined our team in March 2020 to expand our services into Edmonton, AB
